Pictured below are some of my wool and wool-blend rolled hats, Andean-inspired earflap hats, and fingerless gloves/wrist warmers.

All of the hats and fingerless gloves/wrist warmers are one-of-a-kind and made from Maine sheep fleece that is hand washed, hand carded, hand-spun, hand-dyed and manually machine-knitted by myself. Though many of my hats and fingerless gloves are knitted from 100% wool, I also spin wool blended with other fibers such as alpaca, silk, camel, llama, mohair, chiengora (dog hair) and more. The Andean Earflaps combine my own handknitting and manual machine knitting.

I handspin all of the yarn for my knitted items. It takes approximately 1 and 1/2 hours to spin and ply one oz. of yarn. As an example, a pair of my handspun socks has a minimum of 9 hours work. In addition to handspinning the yarn, I scour (wash) the fiber beforehand, I then card (brush to align the fibers for spinning), hand-dye and then knit.

Rolled Hat prices are based on the number of fibers in the Rolled Hat. For instance:

Rolled Hats made from one fiber (ex. wool OR silk OR alpaca are $40 each
Rolled Hats made from two fibers are $45 each
Rolled Hats made from three fibers are $50 each
Rolled Hats made from four fibers are $55 each

Rolled Hats can be worn rolled up (great for packing!) or down over the ears.

Fingerless Gloves/Wrist Warmers

Each pair has an opening for the thumb.
These can be worn over bare hands, or over a pair of gloves or mittens. Prices are based on the same formula as above for hats.
